VELUX PARTICIPATEDWITH 2 TEAMS_

Through a brand new game in our real-life, well-tested, physical mock-up at Aalborg University, which simulates your own home field, we tested Velux’s leaders’ behaviors, strategies and consequences.

What strategy do you plan to use when placed in a given situation? What decisions do you make – and why? And what if this situation develops? Repeatedly? What happens to the strategies, patterns of action and focus when we put pressure on your organization?

VELUX ANDGOOFY-EFFEKTEN_

In the game and in the game, in a realistic scenario, in collaboration with your colleagues, you must choose between a number of theories and strategies and prioritize their use in order to reach the goal. We let you notice on your own body how your add-on and opt-out affect your colleagues and the process – yes, your entire business.

During the course of the play, we find ourselves in and completely eliminate the “Goofy effect”. The goofy effect is poison for any organization. Namely, when employees end up in situations where it all just seems zero, because processes and strategies do not create value for themselves or for their daily tasks.

The Goofy effect’s worst enemy is new and enhanced self-insight and learning by doing. And learning by doing with a clear self-understanding is exactly what the game gets us to practice.

THE STORYABOUT VELUX

Over the past many months, Velux has shown us great confidence and a belief in our concept of play and games as part of a larger management and coaching process. For a long time, Velux has employed a business PhD. at Aalborg University, with whom we have collaborated, among other things, on the development of our new strategy game.

In addition to executives and middle managers, Velux also included representatives from HR, technology and the factory.

A trip up the helicopter wearing a “to-day-mounted-yes-hat” lifts the group together to see, define, describe and solve common weaknesses and pitfalls.

WHAT SAYSVELUX?

An NPS (net promoter score / loyalty survey) study among participants for the purpose of examining whether they would recommend our strategy games to other organizations or colleagues shows a result at the top. On a score between 1 – 10 (where 1 is an unlikely recommendation, and 10 is the safe recommendation), our strategy games mainly score 9-10.

WHO AREABLE TOPLAY?

Do we only tackle big companies like Velux and Novo Nordisk, both of which have become wiser after playing with and with us?

No.. 

In fact, our play is created for medium and small organizations with the desire to develop strategically and managerially towards the digitalisation of the future. We put our team together flexibly and dynamically so that it makes maximum sense for all participants.
