VELUX PLAYED THE GAMEWITH 2 TEAMS_
Through a brand new game in our real-life, well-tested, physical mockup at Aalborg University that simulates your home turf, we tested the behavior and strategies of Velux management, and their consequences.
What strategies do you consider when you find yourself in a given situation? What decisions do you make – and why? And what if the situation changes? Repeatedly? What happens to the strategies, patterns of action and focus when we put pressure on your organization?
VELUX ANDABSURDITY_
In the game, in a realistic scenario, you and your colleagues must choose among various theories and strategies and must prioritize their use in order to reach the goal. We enable you to sense how your decisions affect your colleagues and the process – and yes, your entire business.
During the game, we continually assess the situation and eliminate the absurdity that occurs when employees end up in situations where nothing seems to make sense and where processes and strategies provide no intrinsic value for them or their day-to-day tasks.
The enemy of absurdity is enhanced self-insight and learning by doing. And learning by doing with a clear self-understanding is exactly what the game gets you to practice.

THE VELUXSTORY
Over the past several months, Velux has expressed great confidence in us and a belief in our concept of play and games as part of a larger management and coaching process. Over a longer period, Velux has employed an Industrial PhD at Aalborg University whom we have collaborated with on the development of our new strategy game.
In addition to executives and middle managers, Velux also included representatives from HR, technology and the factory.
From a helicopter view, wearing a yes-hat for the day, the group as a whole is able to see, define, describe and address common weaknesses and pitfalls.
VELUXSAYS
An NPS (net promoter score/loyalty survey) study of the participants, for the purpose of examining whether they would recommend our strategy games to other organizations or colleagues, yields top scores. On a scale of 1 to 10 (where 1 is an unlikely recommendation and 10 is a certain recommendation), our strategy games mainly score 9-10.
WHOCANPLAY?
Do we only take on big companies like Velux and Novo Nordisk, both of which learned a great deal after playing the game with us?
No.
In fact, our game is created for medium and small organizations with the desire to develop strategically and managerially towards the digitalization of the future. We put a team together in a flexible and dynamic way so that it makes maximum sense for all participants.
